Every year we throw an after party on Thanksgiving for friends and family in town. A casual event around the fire pit with drinks and leftovers This year we decided to step up the music and hire a live entertainer that could bring the right vibe. We still wanted people to be able to converse but wanted the music to be a focal point. Besides what was mentioned above we also wanted a singer that took requests and was engaging with the crowd. We have always enjoyed listening to Steve at the Turtle and Patio at 5th and Ash in Fernandina Beach, FL. Our guests were full of compliments for Steve. Everyone had a great time, enjoyed the song selections. My favorite moment was when he started playing 'Hot Child in the City', I was so surprised to hear it. Having live music was a game changer on the night and then music was one less thing I needed to worry about.

I was Hosting a surprise birthday party at our home for my husband.I wanted it to be a small but festive celebration for him to enjoy with his close friends and family. I have Steve play at multiple events. He played for two work outings for my team of 40 culturally diverse associates. Steve was amazing at keeping all involved with the music either through requests, sing-along songs or some of his diverse musical knowledge to keep everyone dancing and singing. The next events that Steve played at were two of my wedding weekend events. He played in front of about 100 family and friends for the rehearsal dinner and then again at the family and friends brunch on Sunday after the wedding. Live music adds so much to the ambiance of any event. During the work events, Steve provided an active ambiance where the guests sang along and danced. During the wedding events, the ambiance we were looking for was more of background music to provide a comfortable environment for family and friends to meet and talk to each other and get to know each other. After listening to Steve at several live performances, considerations to hire were several. I cannot say that anything was more important than the other – but they all took place together which made Steve the total package. First, the music sounded great and was not all the typical “bar” songs. The repertoire was outstanding. His interaction with the crowd was a good balance with the music that was playing. There was some history of the song as well as some background of the music that was perfectly balanced. Steve was easy to coordinate and communicate with regarding dates and times that my events were scheduled. He had clear communication and was quick to respond with contracts, financial information and confirmation of special requests that we had.
