I've had Steve play at multiple events. He played for two work outings for my team of 40 culturally diverse associates. Steve was amazing at keeping all involved with the music either through requests, sing-along songs or some of his diverse musical knowledge to keep everyone dancing and singing. The next events that Steve played at were two of my wedding weekend events. He played in front of about 100 family and friends for the rehearsal dinner and then again at the family and friends brunch on Sunday after the wedding. Both events were extremely successful and many compliments were shared. Live music adds so much to the ambiance of any event. During the work events, Steve provided an active ambiance where the guests sang along and danced. During the wedding events, the ambiance we were looking for was more of background music to provide a comfortable environment for family and friends to meet and talk to each other and get to know each other. Steve was very successful in creating the intended atmosphere for all 4 events. After listening to Steve at several live performances, considerations to hire were several. I cannot say that anything was more important than the other – but they all took place together which made Steve the total package. First, the music sounded great and was not all the typical “bar” songs. The repertoire was outstanding. His interaction with the crowd was a good balance with the music that was playing. There was some history of the song as well as some background of the music that was perfectly balanced. Steve was easy to coordinate and communicate with regarding dates and times that my events were scheduled. He had clear communication and was quick to respond with contracts, financial information and confirmation of special requests that we had. I had the privilege of listening to several live performances prior to making the request to have Steve perform. He also came highly recommended from the Amelia Island Tavern leadership team. We experienced great music, a professional partner in the planning process and great atmosphere at each event. Steve set a high standard with his live performances before the events and he delivered on those high expectations during all of the events.
